EPC
You are required by law to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) commissioned before you can offer your property for sale. An EPC is a graph of your ‘carbon footprint’ and is an assessment of your home’s energy efficiency an environmental impact rating. All properties, residential, agricultural or commercial (Commercial EPC), require the certificate.
The EPC is carried out by a registered Energy Performance Inspector who visits your home to take the relevant readings. There is no mess or inconvenience involved and the time it takes and the cost vary slightly depending upon the size of your property. The average cost would be around £60.00 and the inspection should take approximately an hour.
