DAVID BISCOE MA. FRICS - DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

David studied Estate Management at Cambridge University before joining his family firm, Biscoe and Stanton, Chartered Surveyors of London in 1963, where he specialised in advising ecclesiastical and charitable clients.
David became Senior Partner in 1967 following the sudden death of his father Guy Biscoe who was at the time President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. David was forced to retire from business in 1984 due to critical illness and moved to Devon where he farmed on a small scale. He retired fully some ten years ago but was delighted to accept an invitation from Geoffrey Clapp Associates to advise them on financial and other matters on a part time basis.
David spent over 10 years as chairman of Rackenford Parish Council and for many years carried out invaluable work as Honourary Treasurer for the Devon and Cornwall Branch of the RICS. He is an enthusiastic Bridge player and a member of several local clubs. He is also a passionate and knowledgeable Wagnarian, a great lover of all classical music as well as opera and ballet, and a considerable wine buff!
